From One Garden to the Next: Twin City Garden Club

The Twin City Garden Club is hosting a plant sale this weekend.
The plant sale is May 5th from eight to noon at Good Shepard Lutheran Church on South Prospect Avenue in Champaign. The event will be held in the parking lot of the church. Plants sold will include perennials dug from club member gardens.
Twin City Garden Club was organized in 1930. The club is a member of District IV, The Garden Clubs of Illinois, Inc., and of the Central Region of National Garden Clubs, Inc. The club meets at one on the third Tuesday of the month at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Programs are provided by local horticulturalists, many from the University of Illinois and the UI Extension Service. Each garden-related program is followed by a business meeting and refreshments.
Flower Arranging Classes are held at regular club meetings to provide instruction and hands-on practice in the art of flower arranging. The club also holds biennial flower shows.The club has received numerous state and regional awards for their club yearbook and flower shows.
