CU at Home Ministry to Host One Winter Night

Executive Director of CU at Home Rob Dalhaus is creating awareness about the homeless members of the Central Illinois community.

CU at Home works closely with the homeless community to educate and navigate ways to improve their lifestyles. Each person they encounter has different abilities and different struggles, and CU at Home is compassionately reaching out. The group helps by offering shelter beds, finding treatment centers, and even purchasing bus passes.

The organization is fully funded through community efforts, and receives no financial help from the state or federal governments.

CU at Home is hosting One Winter Night on Friday, February 2nd. This event allows participants to sleep outside in a cardboard box to get a first-hand glimpse of what life would be like sleeping on the streets. This year, they’re hoping to have 300 participants and 300 volunteers. You can register for the event at their website.
