Christian Contemporary Artist, PJae, takes City Center Stage

PJae is a Christian Contemporary musician based in Illinois, who loves high energy worship and connecting with people to be intentional.

His newest influences in music are such as Travis Greene, J.J Harriston,For King and Country, and even some old school artists like Michael Jackson and The Temptations. He has a way of incorporating familiar sounds and melodies, while still being adaptive to all of the current music of today.

“Essentially,” he adds, “Music is only one of the bridges I use to encourage people in their walk with God. If a song can minister to somebody wherever they’re at, whether they’re a Christian or not, I’m doing my part in the greater plan of things. I anticipate what God has in store for me in the coming years. I plan to inspire whomever I can, while seeking His kingdom.”

In 8th grade, he picked up his first guitar and co-wrote a song with his father that he would later perform at the school talent show. After which, was the start of joining and forming several pop/punk bands which included CrossTape, and the “pop rock superstars” Up In Arms.

In the fall of 2013, PJae made what he considers to be the best choice of his life. He gave his life to Christ. By now, he had stopped playing in bands for personal reasons, and took a short time to collect his thoughts on what he would continue to do musically. He had begun production on what was originally planned to be “Elevated” which was going to be an R&B release. It wasn’t until writing a song titled “Jesus, Just See Me Through” for the youth choir at C.M.B.C, that PJae changed his direction completely. Over the next few months, he began to write and compile a list of songs, and began the production of his debut album.  Elevated released May 16, 2015.

“My main goal is to bring people to Christ. Everything else will fall into place. I just let go, and let God”
