This week is National Nursing Home Week. Our Activity staff have a weeks’ worth of fun things planned. On the 16th, The residents will meet with their 4th grade Home Buddies for a Farewell Party and a Butterfly release. This is such a wonderful time for the students and our residents.
Eberhardt Senior Community consist of The Arthur Home, a skilled care non-profit nursing home and Eberhardt Village Assisted Living. The Arthur Home provides long term care, rehab to home, and respite stay options.
One of the ways we are different from other facility’s is that we are not a corporate facility. The Arthur Home began serving the residents of Arthur and the surrounding area 60 years ago. Eberhardt Village was added 10 years ago. We are governed by a wonderful Board of Directors and are fortunate to have the support of the Arthur Community.
We are a privately run, not associated with a corporation. Our board members and many of our employees are from the community and often have long standing ties with the people we serve which truly makes our facility more like a home away from home. Whether people are here to rehab back home or to make our home theirs, they are given professional, personalized, friendly care.
The Arthur Home provides both private and semi-private rooms. We accept both Medicare and Medicaid. We have rehab on site provided by ONR out of Champaign. We often have people come and stay after surgery or illness to get stronger and be able to return home. We also have those who come to make the Arthur Home their home. We have fun activities for everyone and top-notch employees to care for our residents.
