Tim Ditman joined WCIA in November of 2021 after spending 10 years in Champaign radio. There, he had several titles, most significantly as a news reporter/anchor. Since 2019, he has been the radio play-by-play announcer for University of Illinois women’s volleyball.
Ditman has won several awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association, including medium market reporter of the year in 2015. He’s participated in several Champaign-Urbana community enrichment programs, and he currently serves on the board of directors for Champaign County Crime Stoppers.
Ditman has a degree in journalism from the University of Illinois. When not pursuing a story, you’ll find him working on his fitness, watching sports (real and fake), reading up on the latest gadget, or (most importantly) playing with his three year-old beagle Miles. He is the biggest Taylor Swift fan this side of the Mississippi River.
