
Jack Krumm is a dynamic 22-year-old multi-faceted journalist who earned the role of Reporter and Anchor at WCIA 3 in August 2023.
Hailing from Plymouth, Michigan, Jack’s journey into the field began in high school at WSDP 88.1 The Park, where he showcased his news skills as well as engaging listeners in sports play-by-play coverage. Notably, Jack was awarded three Michigan Association of Broadcasters awards for his outstanding newscasts and sports broadcasts.
Graduating from Central Michigan University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in communication, Jack was a prominent member of the sports staff at CMU’s radio station 91.5 The Mountain as well as the lead sports anchor at CMU’s esteemed campus TV news channel, News Central 34 during all four years of college. During his senior year, he even ascended to the role of Sports Director for radio sportscasts at Central Michigan.
Beyond his passion for storytelling, Jack is an avid supporter of his hometown teams, especially the Detroit Lions. He is excited to amplify the voices of Central Illinois’ residents through his work.
