Cole is a multimedia reporter for WCIA based in the Springfield Capitol Bureau. He covers a mix of local and state news.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he is a graduate of the Public Affairs Reporting program at University of Illinois-Springfield.

Before starting full-time for WCIA, Cole interned as a statehouse reporter for the WCIA Capitol Bureau.

Cole spent his time in college as a reporter and editor for The Daily Illini, the student-run newspaper on campus. He also worked as an anchor and producer for the student news channel UI-7.
